For the past couple of years my department at Indiana University's School of Art + Design have pushed me to create images. During this time all I wanted to do was to create specific frames and presentations for each image. I'm glad that they helped me expand my portfolio to its fullness, for that, I am so thankful. I just can't express how it makes me feel to see these images in their intended context and presentation. I made every image knowing that they will be incorporated into polyptychs and that inter-image interactions would occur.
These past months, beginning after my return from the Society of Photographic Education's national convention in Orlando, I've been constructing frames as well as shooting brand new images including The Coronation of the Virgin, Adam, Eve, The Last Judgement, and Eternal Damnation. Since then, props, costumes, images, sketches, wood, laser cuts, files and my brain have been scattered between two apartments, my parent's home, my car and several school buildings. I'm just so happy to see them outside of the critique room in their intended presentation style. I'm relieved all the prep for this show is done, but this work is not over.
Here's some detail "sneak peeks" of the show.
